I went to China on Tuesday...

Sandy met me at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco on Tuesday. Yes, it's technically China. Anyway, we applied for our visa to enter China. Our tentative travel would be the week of Thanksgiving and coming back with Ruby around December 7th. We are still waiting for our Travel Approval from China so we cannot make any travel arrangements yet.
So here's the last of the referral photos of Ruby. Check back because we might get some more recent photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruby's "Mug Shot"

A great big thank you from our family for all of the wonderful words and support. We can't wait to hold her in her arms and play with her cute little toes. We sent the letter of acceptance for her referral and that will be sent on to China. After that, China and the Immigration office at the US consulate in China set up our appointment dates in China. We should be hearing about those dates in 3-4 weeks. After we get our "Travel Approval" we can then make travel arrangements. As of now, we estimate our travel to China to pick Ruby up around the end of November or the beginning of December. We'll keep you posted. We do have one more photo that we'll post at a later date!

Introducing Ruby!

We got the call this morning and Vince and Desi drove down to Mountain View to get her file. (Yes, she is a girl...) Her birthday is January 25, 2005...she's a monkey like Vince! She is currently living at the Qianjiang Social Welfare Center.
